Tuesday, September 16, 2014, Gathering at 6pm, Dinner at 6:30pm, Program at 7:30pm

       Dinner and Anthem Sharing with Music and CD sale.

       Christ Lutheran Church, 125 East High Street, Elizabethtown. Deb Dillane, host.


The program portion will be an Anthem Sharing. Please consider participating as a leader by bringing copies of your favorite choir anthem to lead

and share with the group. You may opt to accompany and lead it yourself, or accompany only, or conduct only.

This event also includes a used music and CD sale. The music should be organ scores, and the CDs can be any music type.

Donors should plan to arrive early (ca. 5:45) to lay out their donations. Donors should retrieve their unclaimed items at the end of the evening

or make provisions with Shawn Gingrich to donate them or recycle them. For more information contact Shawn at 717-877-8554 or


The evening will begin with a social time beginning at 6:00pm followed by dinner at 6:30pm catered by Rebecca Briody from Chef on the Go. The buffet menu will include:

Cheeses with Carr’s Crackers and Red Grapes


Chicken Cordon Bleu with Mustard Sauce

Salmon with Lemon Dill Butter

Black Rice

Grilled Vegetables


Fresh Fruit Salad

Salad Greens with Herb Vinaigrette

Organ Crawl to Patrick J. Murphy & Associates

300 Old Reading Pike, Suite D, Stowe, PA

Visit factory and instruments in that area.

Box lunches from Dafnos ($9 each).

Dinner at a restaurant. (Return to Hershey ca. 7:00pm)




Saturday, November 8, 2014, Gathering at 8:30am Session 9:00am—1:00pm

       St. James Music Press, Mark Schweizer, clinician

       St. John Episcopal Church, 1 North Hanover Street, Carlisle, Brian Rotz, host.

       The time will be divided between a choral reading of the online services of St. James Music Press

and presentation of material from Dr. Schweizers comic Liturgical Mysteries.

Members’ Recital presenting two contrasting Chorale Preludes on the same hymn tune, i.e. Baroque to Modern.

For instance, one might play the Bach setting of Nun danket, then the Karg-Elert setting of that tune.

       Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22d Street, Camp Hill, Brian Rice, host.


What is your favorite hymn, chorale, or church melody? Perhaps a composer as far back as the 12th century wrote a short piece or

pieces such as chorale preludes using this “melody.” Pair that with a setting of the same tune by a later or contemporary composer

and you have a personal contribution for the chapter program on February 10 at Camp Hill UMC.

Annual Chapter Business Meeting and Dinner, including installation of officers.

Colonial Country Club, 4901 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg

The evening will feature music provided by harpist Louis Lynch.

The buffet dinner menu will include:
