Organ substitutes listed are members in good standing of the Harrisburg AGO Chapter, though their qualifications have not been endorsed by the Chapter. It is the hiring organization’s responsibility to ask for specific information – education, experience, recent references, and to discuss these items with the chosen substitute. The hiring organization and the organist should agree on a reasonable fee before the service. The Harrisburg Chapter does not publish a fee schedule.

Director(s) of Music Ministry - Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg, PA, is currently welcoming applicants for Director(s) of Music Ministry. Candidates need to display a love for God and for worshiping through music. The successful candidate(s) must possess high proficiency on organ or piano, with capabilities in both strongly preferred. Additionally, the candidate we seek will have the ability to direct the adult vocal choir. Responsibilities will include planning and coordinating music choices and practices for weekly Sunday worship service(s), special events (including funerals, weddings, etc.), and special worship services throughout the year. Both traditional and contemporary praise music is encouraged! Opportunities also exist for leading small ensembles, handbell choir, children’s choir, and individual performances. These responsibilities could be divided among multiple candidates depending on interest and qualifications. Pay structure will be commensurate with experience and final job scope. Organist - Holy Trinity Lutheran Church - Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata, PA is seeking an organist to provide musical leadership to worship services, including one weekly Sunday service, evening services during Advent and Lent, and services during Holy Week and on Christmas Eve. General responsibilities include playing the Moller pipe organ during worship, planning worship music in conjunction with the Worship and Music Committee, coordinating organ and piano maintenance, and maintaining the music library. Compensation will be based on experience and abilities. Music degree preferred, but not required. Salary range $30,000 - $35,000.
